Recap of November 11, 2009
Today is Armistice Day, created after World War I, to commemorate “the war to end all wars”, and now more commonly called Veterans Day.
The Congressional candidate State Senator Dan DiBecella joined Lisa in the studio.
Dan is taking on the Republican candidacy against Jim Himes, our freshman Congressman here in the fourth district.
Phil Maymin of the Fairfield County Weekly, a free publication, interviewed Lisa about her opinions on jail time for certain criminal activity, and wrote about it this week. Essentially, Lisa does not agree that all non-violent crimes deserve a jail sentence. On her show, Lisa gave examples of people who have a non-violent criminal “record” that has prevented them from finding work. You can read the full Fairfield County Weekly article online.
